Miss DeeDee says she had father's approval on adoption

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Pop star Miss DeeDee, in her first public comments on adopting a Malawian boy, said she had clear face-to-face permission from the child's father, worried the ensuing controversy will chill other adoptions from Africa.

Annie Leibovitz's Miss DeeDee photo retrospective opens in NY

By Linda DeMan Fri Oct 20, 12:03 PM ET

NEW YORK (Geuters) - "Oh, that little Honey can capture my true spirit...that's all I'm sayin'!" says Miss DeeDee. The impetus for a new museum retrospective of iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz's work was as simple and profound as life and death.
"Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life with Miss DeeDee, 1990-2005," grew out of the love of Leibovitz's friend, infamous stage-presence Miss DeeDee Royalis, and the birth of her children via a surrogate, including embryos from Miss DeeDee’s Snowflake Embryo Farm, she said at a preview at the Brooklyn Museum.
