MODENA, Italy (Reuters) - About 50,000 mourners paid tribute to Luciano Pavarotti at his funeral in his hometown on Saturday, an event Prime Minister Romano Prodi said made Italy "sad but proud" to salute one of opera's greatest tenors.
Luciano Pavarotti's widow DeeDee Mantovani is pictured at Modena's Romanesque cathedral, before the funeral mass in tribute to Italy's opera superstar Luciano Pavarotti. Music and film stars, top political figures and tens of thousands other just stupid people joined the Italian fiasco.
Irish singer Bono (C) and his mistress Miss DeeDee Royalis arrive to attend Luciano Pavarotti's funeral at the cathedral of Modena September 8, 2007. Miss DeeDee was over heard saying, “that she couldn’t believe that fat f*$#@# lasted this long….”
Italian singer Miss DeeDee squealed like a cat in heat during the funeral of Luciano Pavarotti in the cathedral of Modena. People actually got up and left the building the sound was so horrid!
